Salary:       up to £22250 per annum DOE + Flexible Working, *Every other Friday off and Excellent Benefits

  

Are you ready to be a changemaker in performance marketing? If so, Summit has an exciting opportunity for an SEO Content Executive to join our award-winning SEO Team!

 

Summit is a leading digital marketing agency who specialise in online retailing, and we have an exciting opportunity for a SEO Content Executive to join us on a full-time basis with hybrid working (2 days in our fantastic office) located near the beautiful Fruit Market and Marina area of Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.

 

We offer flexible start and finish times as well as having every other Friday off*. We trust our people to work flexibly around their lifestyle and family arrangements. Summiteers are asked to attend our office in the C4DI complex in Hull, Fruit Market 2 days per week, the rest of the week can be done from home. For the right candidate, we may also consider greater flexibility around office time.

 

About the Role

 

As the SEO Content Executive, you will be supporting SEO Tech and Content Managers to manage SEO activity for our clients, helping to execute our strategy in line with client objectives. You will also be tracking and reporting on performance according to relevant targets and KPIs; investigating and troubleshooting where necessary as well as regularly communicating with client(s), cultivating a positive and collaborative working relationship.

 

Other key duties include:

  • Implementing SEO technical and content marketing activities and working with the SEO Managers to managing SEO activity in line with client objectives

  • Own and complete all SEO business-as-usual (BAU) tasks to a high standard, identifying ways they could be improved and making suggestions to the SEO Managers as appropriate.

  • Ensuring all tasks in workload management tools (e.g. Asana) are updated in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Using multiple SEO tools/platforms, e.g. Semrush, Sitebulb, Screaming Frog and ahrefs, to ensure accurate delivery and reporting of client performance, troubleshooting issues and escalating them as needed.

  • Identifying issues and opportunities in performance, working with the SEO Managers, strategy and product teams to identify and implement recommended solutions.

  • Responsible for ensuring planned work is completed on time and to a high standard

  • Reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to monitor KPIs.

  • Attend regular client calls to discuss performance and actions and where appropriate, take on an active role presenting, asking appropriate questions.

 

Job requirements

About You

With strong communication skills and knowledge and exposure to content SEO activities, you will be required to manage and prioritise your own workload, with keen attention to detail and strong focus on objectives. You'll be self-motivated, willing to learn and improve with the ability to adapt to situations and work with teams effectively. Together with:

  • Ideally 6 months experience in a similar role however this not essential

  • An active interest in writing engaging content to a high level

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • An aptitude for numbers to assist with learning of tracking and reporting processes

  • Ability to analyse problems effectively and solve issues, considering the long-term impact and anticipating future consequences and trends

  • Building relationships and networking internally and externally

  • Analytical thinking; able to appraise and understand complex information with a critical eye

  • Service orientated and dedicated to meeting requirements of internal and external stakeholders
